Alumni plant 25 trees to signify 25 years of FAWE Uganda

FAWE Uganda alumni, staff, primary school teachers and learners planted 25 trees in Kisuule Primary School (8), Kitante Primary School (9) and Trinity Primary School (8) on Friday 4th November 2022. The tree planting was to signify the 25-year journey that the organization has walked, as well as a contribution to the conservation of the environment especially now that climate change is at the heart of today’s global challenge.

Alumni give back to the community

FAWE Uganda alumni continue to impact communities in various ways. On Saturday, August 20th 2022, the team comprising FAWE Uganda staff members and alumni set out to Mulimira zone, Bukoto region and provided health talks, the importance of educating young people to the community members and career guidance to learners as well as carried out a cleaning exercise. Alumni outreach to schools

FAWE Uganda organized a school outreach to carry out educational talks with primary and secondary school children on Monday 2nd – Tuesday 9th August 2022. The activity was spearheaded by the FAWE Uganda alumni and supported by FAWE Uganda staff.

Raising awareness on Menstrual Hygiene

FAWE Uganda through its alumni partnered with Hope Awareness and Literacy Club (HALC), a local CBO to participate in Menstrual Hygiene Awareness in Kyankwanzi District on Thursday 14th – Friday 15th July 2022. The awareness addressed issues like menstrual stigma, openness to parents and authority to discuss health issues and concerns.
