Alumni outreach to schools

FAWE Uganda organized a school outreach to carry out educational talks with primary and secondary school children on Monday 2nd – Tuesday 9th August 2022. The activity was spearheaded by the FAWE Uganda alumni and supported by FAWE Uganda staff.
The educational talks aimed to raise awareness on critical life issues that affect the growth and development of children and to support them take appropriate decisions for improved retention and completion of the education cycle. The two-hour educational talks were learner-centred and targeted learners of adolescent age i.e. 10-19 years.
The schools visited included Kisuule Primary School, Bukoto, Trinity Primary School, Bukoto, Naalya SS, St. Peter’s Naalya, Kitante Hill School, Ntinda Primary School and Bukoto Primary School. A total of 2147 children (397M & 817F) were reached and some of the lessons passed on included keeping disciplined, being obedient, working hard and keeping in school, helping one another, aiming for the highest, respecting teachers and non-teaching staff at school.
